A 30 year-old woman teacher at Delhi Public School, wife of a senior Infosys employee in Bangalore was found murdered at her residence today, a top police officer said.
Priyanka Gupta was found strangulated and her throat slit on a chair, deputy commissioner of police(south west division) BNS Reddy said.
Priyanka and Satish Kumar Gupta, 32, human resources manager at Infosys were married three years ago and do not have children, he said.
Satish, in his complaint, said he went for a jog at 5.40am while Priyanka was practising yoga. Some time later she called him to say that two persons had come to the house and enquired if they could supply newspapers, but that she sent them away. When he returned at 6.45am, he found the door locked and no response from inside, despite ringing the bell.
He said he then went to Infosys to get the duplicate key from his locker. On opening the door, he found his wife murdered.
