Team Anna is now looking at forming core committees at the state, village and taluka level in Gujarat to find volunteers who can take up issues pertaining to the state. At a press meet held in the city on Monday, core committee members of Team Anna, Dinesh Waghela, Gopal Rai and Mayank Gandhi talked about the future course of action for them in the second phase of the 'agitation'.
Rai said that a search committee will be formed at the state, village and taluka level and these committees will then look for members of the core committee.

He said in Gujarat the search committees will be formed in a span of 2 months. "They will work on issues pertaining to the state," said Rai.

He said that so far two issues have been identified for the state, one is the need for an empowered, strong and independent Lokpal and the other is to oppose the highly centralised decision-making process in Gujarat, particularly the government. Rai said the state-level team once formed will also work on Gram Swaraj to empower villages.

The team is also looking at formation of Anna Charcha Samuh to help discuss matters of national importance and how the fight against corruption can be taken forward. An interactive phone number 09212123212 has also been created where those interested can listen to national issues being discussed on a weekly basis.

Mayank Gandhi, core committee team member from Mumbai said that they are also carrying out an innovative 'Anna card' initiative on a pilot project basis in Delhi.

"It will later be implemented across the country. The Anna card will be available for Rs25 and one needs to buy it and then scratch the number on it. Then you need to SMS the number through your cell phone. The phone number will be registered and the user will get a message everyday from Anna for a year about various issues," said Gandhi.
