Teenager killed by neighbour over drinking water in Madhya Pradesh

It was found that due to water crisis in the city, the victim's family had earlier requested the attacker's family to stop drawing water from their tap.

A teenager was stabbed to death allegedly by her neighbour over drinking water dispute here today.
           
The incident took place at Bakshibagh area in the city when Poonam Yadav (18), standing outside her house, was attacked by Hukum Gaur with a knife, police said.
           
Poonam was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead, they said.
           
In the preliminary investigation, it was found that due to water crisis in the city, the victim's family members had earlier requested Gaur's family members to stop drawing water from their tap, police said.
           
On this, women of both families had a quarrel four days back, they said.
           
A hunt was on to nab the culprit, who was absconding after the incident, police said.
