Thane Crime Branch sleuths bust sex racket in Mumbra

The officials of Thane Crime Branch today claimed to have busted a sex racket by arresting two persons from Mumbra and rescuing four Bangladeshi women from a flat there, police said.

Acting on a complaint, the officials of Thane police raided an apartment in Shibli Nagar of Mumbra and arrested the duo. They rescued four women in the age group of 16 to 28, police inspector R P Bayes of the Anti Human Trafficking Cell of the Crime Branch said.

"The four women are from Dhaka in Bangladesh and were brought to Mumbai by the duo promising to get them jobs," said the officer.

The police said the girls were kept in Mumbra and taken to Nagpada in Mumbai as per requirement of the customers.
