HOWRAH: A Nokia mobile phone set burst while it was being charged in a house here on Sunday, leaving three persons injured.
Police said, Nilkamal Verma (67) and his two grand children, who were sleeping on a bed, were injured when the set, kept near their cot, burst. The set was put on charging.
In August, Nokia had issued an advisory to its customers to replace their batteries with BL-5C category manufactured by Matsushita Company of Japan between December 2005 and November
2006 as those might explode during charging due to over heating.
Whether this set was of that category could not be immediately ascertained.
