Three students injured in acid attack in Muzaffarnagar

Personal enmity could be the cause behind the crime, police said, adding a case has been registered against the four persons following a complaint.

Three students were seriously injured after some persons threw acid on them at a village near Muzaffarnagar (UP), police said.

16-year-old Sachin, Pravin (21) and Pradeep (22) -- all relatives -- were sitting at their common shop in Kookra village when four persons threw acid on them, Superintendent of Police Rajiv Malhotra said.

Sachin and Pravin were students of class X and XII while Pradeep is pursuing a course from ITI. They have been admitted to a hospital.
