Time to chill out in Ahmedabad

Minimum temperature has fallen to 18 degree Celsius in Ahmedabad.

It's time for chilly nights in the city as the minimum temperature has been falling during the past few days. The Met department reports that the minimum temperature on Tuesday was 18° C.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) director, Gujarat, Kamaljeet Ray, told DNA that the temperature started going down at the start of November. The fall will continue and by November end and in the beginning of December, the city will start experiencing colder days when the maximum temperature will also fall.

The Met department recorded a maximum temperature of 35° C and a minimum of 18° C on Tuesday. Night temperatures also fell in parts of Saurashtra, Gujarat region and changed little over rest of the region. They were appreciably above normal in parts of north Gujarat region, and above to appreciably above normal in parts of Saurashtra-Kutch, south Gujarat region and generally normal over the rest of the region. 16 degree C was the lowest temperature in the region, recorded at Naliya.

The temperature started going down in the last week of October, with the beginning of the Festival of Lights. The weather will be mainly dry and sunny in the next few days.

However, the temperature will fall further. Though no drastic change is expected, it will drop gradually.
