In a Facebook post, the scientist claimed that "fatal dose was probably mixed" with chutney along with Dosa, in snacks after lunch.

In a big shocker, a top Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has claimed that he was poisoned in 2017 during an interview in Bengaluru.

Through a Facebook post, Tapan Misra said that an attempt was made to poison him with arsenic trioxide on May 23, 2017, when he was sitting in a promotional interview at ISRO headquarters. Along with this, he has appealed to the security agencies to investigate and said that find out who gave poison and why.

He claimed that "fatal dose was probably mixed" with chutney along with Dosa, in snacks after lunch.

Titled ''Long Kept Secret'', the Facebook post reads that Home Affairs security personnel met him in July 2017 and informed him of arsenic poisoning.

The ISRO scientist claimed that he suffered from health issues including severe breathing difficulty, unusual skin eruptions, skin shedding and fungal infections due to the poisoning. He then consulted the doctors who helped him focus on remedy.

“The motive appears to be espionage attack…to remove a scientist with the critical contribution of very large military and commercial significance, like expertise in building Synthetic Aperture Radar,” he alleged.

Mishra wrote that on May 23, 2017, he was given deadly arsenic trioxide. He said that the poison given to him was inorganic arsenic and is enough to kill a human being. He also said that he was lucky that he did not die, because no one survived after consuming this poison. For this, he had to undergo treatment for two consecutive years. He has also shared the medical report of treatment from the doctor of AIIMS.

Misra is currently employed as Senior Advisor at ISRO. He had earlier served as Director of Ahmedabad-based Space Application Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

He is retiring in January and now on speaking openly, he said that I want people to know about this, so that if I die then everyone knows what happened to me.
