Train passengers looted by robbers in Bihar

Over 12 armed men boarded the train at Mokama railway station and went on a looting spree in its sleeper coach late last night.

Armed robbers looted valuables, including cash and jewellery worth Rs1.5 lakh from the passengers of 2350 New Delhi- Bhagalpur Weekly Express near Barhaiya railway station in Lakhisrai district police said today.

Over 12 armed men boarded the train at Mokama railway station and went on a looting spree in its sleeper coach late last night, police said.

They also beat up some passengers who resisted them, police said adding the robbers pulled the chain near Lakhisarai railway station and decamped.

Three passengers who suffered minor injury were given first aid at Kiul railway station, sources said.

An FIR has been lodged with the Government Railway Police (GRP) station at Kiul.
