Banned Maoists who have called Jharkhand bandh today, set a truck on fire and damaged a large number of auto-rickshaws, the police said.
The police said that the Maoists during their two-day bandh in protest against the price-rise, also tried to torch another mini-truck but security force personnel made them to leave the area in haste.
The bandh evoked mixed response in the naxal-affected Kolhan region,comprising East and West Singbhum and Saraikela-Kharswan districts.
Superintendent of police, Navin Kumar Singh rushed to the spot and led a massive combing operation.
