The Supreme Court has stayed proceedings on the charge sheet filed in this case till further orders.

A special CBI court on Monday rejected the petitions of police officers DG Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandian and Dinesh MN and Abdul Rehman seeking a copy of the charge-sheet filed in the Tulsi Prajapati fake encounter case.

Additional chief judicial magistrate of the special CBI court AY Dave said giving copies of the charge sheet is also a part of the proceedings in the case.

“As the Supreme Court has stayed all proceedings on the charge sheet in the case, this court is hereby rejecting the plea of the accused to get copies of the charge sheet," the magistrate said in his order.

Out of total 20 accused named in the CBI’s chargesheet in the Tulsi case, 11 accused including Vipul Agrawal and Ashish Pandya were brought from the Palanpur jail where they are lodged since their arrest.

Four accused —Vanzara, Dinesh, Pandian and Rehman— who are also accused in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, were produced in court from the Sabarmati jail in Ahmedabad.
The other accused in the case are former minister Amith Shah, retired police officers PC Pande and OP Mathur and police officers Geetha Johri and RK Patel.

The court has directed all the 15 accused who are currently in jail, to remain present in the court again on November 9, 2012.

Earlier, Shah had filed a petition in the Supreme Court arguing that as Sohrab and Tulsi cases are interlinked, he could not be arrested in the Tulsi case as he had already been granted bail in the Sohrab case

Acting on his petition, the Supreme Court had stayed proceedings on the charge sheet filed in the Tulsi case till further orders.
