A special court in Lucknow awarded ten years prison sentence to two Indian Mujaheedin (IM) terrorists, who were arrested by UP Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) from Gorakhpur in March 2014.
Abdul Waheed Rind and Mohammed Faheem were given training by Tehreek-e-Taliban in Afghanistan. The IM had sent them to India through Nepal border to attack Army camps, but before they could reach their destinations, the ATS had arrested them from Gorakhpur Railway Station in March 14.
ATS had recovered maps of Indian Army camps and police stations among ammunition from their possession.
After interrogation, ATS had filed a charge sheet in a Lucknow special court. The court on Thursday sentenced the two IM terrorists to 10 years of jail term and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on both.
