Two Ulfa militants surrender in Guwahati

Two hardcore Ulfa militants today surrendered before the police in Assam's Dhubri district, official sources said.

The couple, both belonging to the outfit's 709 battalion, surrendered along with a 9 mm pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition.

The militants have been identified as self-styled Sergeant Rajesh Barman alias Sahdev Rai and his wife Corporal Babita Barman.
