Armed Forces Special Power Act in Jammu and Kashmir will be the focus of a high-level meeting to be presided over by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

The Unified Headquarter meeting on November 9, the first day of reopening of Darbar move offices in Jammu, is being held in the backdrop of debate over AFSPA following Abdullah's statement last month that it would be removed from some areas, officials said.

The meeting, which will be attended by senior army officers, will also discuss security situation, counter-insurgency operation, cross-border infiltration situation, intelligence inputs and winter strategy to deal with militancy in the state, they said.

Earlier, Abdullah has said a meeting would be called soon after darbar move opens in Jammu to discuss the AFSPA issue.
