Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today tweeted he has tested negative for coronavirus. Meghwal had launched a papad brand named 'Bhabhi Ji papad', claiming that the consumption of that particular food item will help drive away the deadly disease.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today tweeted he has tested negative for coronavirus. He had been staying at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. "I am discharged from AIIMS today after recovering from COVID-19. Will stay in home isolation for a few more days on the advice of doctors. I thank the doctors, nurses, and their entire team and express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who prayed for my health." Meghwal tweeted.

The Union Minister on August 9 announced on Twitter that he had tested positive for coronavirus.

"After developing symptoms of COVID-19 I had undergone testing and was found positive in the second report. On the advice of doctors, I got admitted to AIIMS and I request all those who came in contact with me to take care of their health," he said.

It must be noted that Meghwal had launched a papad brand named 'Bhabhi Ji papad', claiming that the consumption of that particular food item will help drive away the deadly disease.

Rajasthan reported 1,317 new coronavirus cases and 14 deaths till 8.30 pm on Sunday, according to the state health department.

The total number of cases now stands at 61,296 including 13,816 active cases, 46,604 recoveries, and 876 deaths.
