United Democratic Front in precarious situation: V S Achuthanandan

Lashing at the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, the Kerala chief minister alleged 'what was happening at the Centre was a kumbamela of corruption'.

Pointing that the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) was in a precarious situation as more cases of corruption involving their leaders was coming to light, Kerala chief minister, V S Achuthanandan, said that Left Democratic Front (LDF) will return to power with good majority.
  
Achuthanandan, who arrived in kannur to attend various election conventions of LDF candidates in the district, was given a rousing reception by party workers.
  
Speaking at the election convention of LDF's CPI (M) candidate E P Jayarajan in the Mattannor assembly constituency, alleged that more cases of corruption of UDF leaders was coming out.
 
Lashing at the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre, Achuthanandan alleged 'what was happening at the Centre was a kumbamela of corruption'.
 
He said the LDF government would take stern action against corrupt politicians and sexual exploiters.
 
Candidate Jayarajan said that if LDF returns to power, Achuthanandan will head the government.

Among those addressed included P Jayarajan, Kannur District CPI (M) secretary and health minister P K Sreemathi.

Later, Achuthanandan also addressed the election convention at Peravoor.
