Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu has said that the last ten years, that saw the government being formed under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), were bad for India. He has said that during the UPA's regime, there was corruption, depleted foreign reserves, inflation and stagnation of growth.
He said, "The last ten years have been very bad for India. It is a decade of lost opportunity. In Delhi, whatever NDA government did till 2004 has given rich dividends, the economy grew fast in that period."
Taking a dig at the UPA, Naidu said, "The UPA committed many mistakes. During their regime there was stagnation of growth, corruption was at its peak, foreign exchange reserves were depleted, there was inflation and there many more problems."
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister arrived in Delhi for a two-day visit, during which he is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister is also slated to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, among other in this visit.
