Uttar Pradesh to get new city, now ‘New Noida’ will be part of Delhi NCR: Know Rs 1000 crore masterplan

A Rs 1000 crore master plan has been formulated to form a new city in Uttar Pradesh called New Noida, which will be an extension to Gautam Buddha Nagar.

In major developmental news for Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is planning to acquire land for a new city called New Noida, which will be built as an extension to Gautam Buddha Nagar. A major master plan has also been drafted for the development of this new city.

The Noida Authority is currently forming a plan to acquire land for New Noida, where over 6 lakh residents will be housed. According to news reports, the new city will also be called Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR).

It has been reported that the planning for the DNGIR area is currently in its final stages and the proposal will be reviewed by the Uttar Pradesh government in August. Land for this new city will be acquired from Gautam Buddha Nagar and the Bulandshahr area.

It is expected that 21,000 hectares of land will be acquired from the current Noida and Bulandshahr area. The focus of New Noida will solely lie on the Dadri-Sikandrabad area, and over Rs 1000 crore has been set aside for the development of the city.

According to the plan formulated for the new Uttar Pradesh city, New Noida will be housing over 6 lakh residents. Further, specific areas have been earmarked for industries, offices, and residential areas, and the planning stage is nearly complete.

The Noida Authority has examined the Noida, Gurugram and Greater Noida model to form a plan for the New Noida city. The city will also include a master plan for FMCG, food processing, and agricultural industries to give a boost to the economy.

Further, New Noida is expected to have more colleges and knowledge centres, as well as a logistical hub to provide more economic and financial boost to the new city, as well as to promote its development in fast pace.
