To expedite the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has started constructing statues at its Ramsewakpuram workshop in Ayodhya.

While volunteers have already been deputed by the VHP to supervise the stone carving, several artisans from Assam have also been engaged. In all, over 100 statues will be made.

Earlier, the saffron body said it will recruit 25,000 new activists in Bajrang Dal, its youth wing, to train them to move for Ayodhya at short notice. According to VHP Prant Sangathan Mantri, Bholendra, over 10,000 activists of the Bajrang Dal have been given deeksha (training) in using traditional weapons.

"These Bajrang dal karyakartas will be ready to move at any time for the construction of Ram temple after getting the order from saints," said Bholendra.

On Saturday, VHP working president Alok Kumar said that it will hold public rallies in all parliamentary constituencies to put pressure on the government for the construction of Ram Temple.
