Emboldened by the State director general of police BS Bassi's defence of cops partying on an offshore casino in Goa, "party-going" senior police officials here have now said that visiting casinos is like going to temples and churches.

"My DGP has already said whether you go to temple, church, restaurant or casino, these places are not illegal. His answer is like hitting a six against all wild allegations that people are making against us," superintendent of police (North) Bosco George said.

George also reiterated that "going to casinos is similar to going to temples and churches."

George was one amongst the four SPs, two deputy superintendents of police and a police inspector, whose controversial party on an off-shore casino had hit the media headlines in Goa.
