Senior BJP leaders Anurag Thakur and Raj Dhan Singh on Sunday used the Hidutva card to drum up support ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Times Now reporte
BJP MP Thakur while speaking at the party’s Vijay Laksh 2019 event in Hyderabad said, “Whoever talks of Hindu rights will rule India.”
Meanwhile, Dhan Singh Rawat, the Rajasthan MLA for Panchayat Raj said that Congress was getting votes because it is a party for Muslims. “If all Muslims will vote for Congress, then all Hindus will unite and vote for BJP. Doesn't matter if the party did something for people till now or not, we will do it now. If all the Muslims can vote for Congress, then Hindus can come together and stand for BJP. Our party will protect you all,' said Rawat.
Meanwhile on Sunday, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said that PM Modi was the favourite leader amongst Muslims.
"The favourite prime ministerial candidate for Muslims in the 2019 polls is Narendra Modi, because he sees all 132 crore people of the country just as Indians. Other parties have seen them as a vote bank," Hussain said.
Hussain blamed the Congress for the poverty and backwardness of the Muslims in the country, saying the party had done injustice to the community and Modi had given them justice.
"Some people in 2014 used to scare others using Narendra Modi's name. Today, a large number of people from the Muslim community also feel that he is a man who works day and night. Narendra Modi treats all 132 crore Indians alike," he said.
