To win the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has prepared a special electoral strategy under its master strategist and party's national president Amit Shah.
Shah's main focus is to win the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2019, and the road to victory leads through the Assembly elections that will be held in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana prior to Lok Sabha elections. Apart from these four states, Mizoram is also heading towards Assembly elections before the general elections.
Shah is currently preparing a base to by regularly visiting these poll-bound states and holding meetings with various sections of the society. According to BJP sources, addressing various sections of the society is part of Shah's electoral strategy to reach out to the grassroots. The idea is to do away with any anti-incumbency wave present in the states.
During his addresses, he puts emphasis on making people aware about the achievements of both the Union and the BJP-led state governments. The BJP will counter the narrative of the opposition parties over various issues using the campaign which would run in several phases. It will highlight the government's achievements in the 5-year tenure and make people aware about roadmap for the next term.
According to party sources, the BJP workers will use facts and figures to help people understand as to " how important it is for them to keep the BJP government in power."
As part of this mass reach out move, Shah addressed a youth conference, prominent citizen conference and OBC conference in Jodhpur on Sunday.
Shah is expected to address farmers, people belonging to Scheduled Castes, prominent citizens, IT volunteers and ex-servicemen, in Udaipur, Nagaur, Kota, Bharatpur, Bikaner and Sikar in the coming months, to motivate them to vote in favour of BJP.
