A woman was buried alive and three others seriously injured as earth caved in while they were desilting a tank under National Rural employment Guarantee Programme at Kalimankundru near Tirupallani today, police said
Four women were working at the spot when the earth caved in and buried one of them, killling her on the spot. The others were rescued by members of the public and admitted to the government hospital in Ramanathapuram in a serious condition, they said.
