Taking a dig at the Congress and its leadership, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Rahul Gandhi has always proved lucky for the BJP. The party had won ten states when he was Congress vice-president and after he was elevated, the BJP has already scored victories in five states and remaining are in the queue, he said.
Addressing a news conference at the party headquarters in Lucknow, Adityanath also dismissed BSP’s support to the Samajwadi Party in UP Lok Sabha bypolls saying, “We will win both the seats with huge margin even if all opposition parties join hands against the BJP.”
The UP CM said BJP’s political graph soared across country ever since Rahul took over the party leadership and started campaigning for the party. “With Rahul around, BJP will continue its winning spree,” he said.
After making BJP win 17 out of 20 seats where he campaigned in Tripura, the CM gave the credit to PM Modi’s inclusive development plan for the Northeast and party president Amit Shah’s strategy to press all Union ministers to campaign there.
He said the results in the three states will certainly impact forthcoming elections in Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal and Odisha.
