A 20-year-old youth has been booked for allegedly raping a minor girl for more than a fortnight, police said on Friday. The accused identified as Deepak Baburao Choube eloped with the 15-year-old victim in the first week of June and sexually assaulted her on the pretext of marriage till the 22nd of this month, according to the complaint filed by the girl's father.
The complaint was filed on Thursday after the girl returned to her place, police said. Choube, who hails from Gittikhan area of the city is absconding and a search has been launched to nab him, police added.
