Four youths were arrested for posing as officials of the Vigilance Bureau and demanding money from an owner of a dhaba, where they had a meal on the pretext of inspection.
The four youths, identified as Mahavir, Raghubir, Ranbir and Bijender, last night went to the dhaba at the Ambala-Delhi highway in a jeep bearing a fake sticker of the Haryana Vigilance Bureau and ordered an elaborate meal with beer.
When they demanded a bribe of Rs 500 from the owner of the eatery, he got suspicious and informed police, who arrested all four from the spot.
The youths have been charged under section 420 (cheating) of the IPC, police said.
