COVID-19: Chennai vegetable market shifted to bus stand for ensuring social distancing

Villivakkam Vegetable Market has been temporarily shifted to the Villivakkam Bus Station in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai. This step was taken to ensure social distancing among sellers and customers in view of coronavirus pandemic. Nationwide lockdown has been imposed in backdrop of coronavirus outbreak. There are total 234 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Tamil Nadu and one death. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 1764 in India and 50 deaths.
