Delhi Coaching Center Flood: Preliminary Investigation Reveals Norms Were Ignored By The Centre

MCD seals basements of 13 civil services institutes in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar. The crackdown comes following massive protests by students in the Old Rajendra Nagar. Meanwhile, as per reports, the deaths of three aspirants occurred due to a lack of drainage and safety measures and the illegal use of the basement for commercial activities. Police have arrested the owner, Abhishek Gupta, and the coordinator, Deshpal Singh, of Rau's IAS Study Circle on charges of culpable homicide and other offenses. According to the FIR, Abhishek Gupta admitted there was no drainage system in coaching center's basement, leading to the deaths of three aspirants. On July 18, Shreya Yadav from UP, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Navin Dalwin from Kerala died after the basement of the coaching center's basement got flooded.
