India's longest river ropeway across Brahmaputra river to boost tourism in Assam's Guwahati

India’s longest river ropeway across the Brahmaputra river inaugurated. It is a 1.8-km ropeway which connects Central and Northern Guwahati. Thousands of people commute every day on the route through ferries or by road. It would take them around 1 hour to cover the distance, but now, this will cut down travel time to 8 minutes. The ropeway gives breathtaking view of the mighty Brahmaputra. This will be an overall boost for tourism in Assam's Guwahati.
