Mortality increases if COVID-19 positive person delays in visiting hospital: AIIMS-Delhi Director

While addressing a press conference in Ahmedabad, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi Director Dr Randeep Guleria on May 09 said a stigma is still attached to COVID-19 and many people fear to come to hospital and get a test done. "An issue that this causes is that if a person is positive and there is delay in his admission to a hospital, then it increases mortality," he further added. Gujarat is second in total number of cases (7402), next to Maharashtra (19063).
