Panchkula gets first park for specially-abled children
Haryana’s Panchkula becomes first north Indian city to get a park for specially-abled children. It is situated at City’s Town Park in sector 5. The park has been developed by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment on over half an acre in association with Reliance Foundation. The swings installed have been designed especially for ‘divyangs’, besides providing recreational facilities. Speech therapists, physiotherapists and vocational trainers are also available in the park to assist specially-abled- children. The aim of the setting of this park is to give the opportunity to these specially-abled children to enjoy in open place.
