Twitterati reacted after CSK's faced an emphatic 7-wicket loss to RR in IPL 2020
Rajasthan Royals (RR) cruised to a 7-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an all-important IPL 2020 clash on Monday (October 19).
With this victory, RR moved to fifth place on the league table with CSK taking up that last spot.
In chase of a target score of 126, Rajasthan Royals got off to an awful start and lost both of their openers early on. After Deepak Chahar ended Ben Stokes' 19-run stand, Josh Hazelwood dismissed Robin Uthappa (4) as skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson walked in.
Samson also struggled to get off the mark quickly and was sent back to the dressing room for a duck after MS Dhoni took his 150th dismissal in the IPL, reducing RR to 28/3 after 4.3 overs.
However, Jos Buttler walked in next and provided some much-needed stability to the Royals' run-chase and formed a formidable partnership with Smith.
The Englishman also brought up his 37-ball fifty against CSK and kept the scored board ticking while the RR skipper held the other end.
Buttler (70*) and Smith (26*) remained unbeaten in the end and formed a 100-run partnership to guide the Men in Pink to a 7-wicket win over CSK in 17.3 overs.

4. How to went!
Earlier in the day, CSK won the toss and opted to bat first as openers Sam Curran and Faf du Plessis failed to set up a solid foundation for the side and the latter departed in the third over after scoring 10 runs.
Shane Watson joined Curran in the middle and stitched a brief 13-run stand for the second wicket. Pacer Karthik Tyagi provided the second breakthrough for his side as he scalped Watson (8) in the fourth over.
Ambati Rayudu and Curran then tried to recover from the early wickets and stitched a 27-run partnership. Rajasthan bowlers again made a comeback and scalped two wickets as Curran (22) and Rayudu (13) were sent back to the pavilion in quick succession.
5. Poor start!
CSK skipper MS Dhoni, playing in his 200th game of the IPL, came in the bat at number five. Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja played cautiously and formed a 51-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Dhoni fell short of his crease and was given run out in the 18th over. Jofra Archer fumbled the ball at long-off but he quickly redeemed himself by a direct throw to the striker's end which sent Dhoni (28) back to the pavilion. Jadeja played an unbeaten knock of 35* while Kedar Jadhav scored 4 runs.
For Rajasthan, Shreyas Gopal, Karthik Tyagi, Rahul Tewatia and Archer bagged one wicket each.
