KL Rahul's Kings XI Punjab is all set to get a big boost with Chris Gayle being fit and ready to participate in the IPL 2020 game against Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sharjah.

Chris Gayle, who has not played a single match in IPL 2020 and who missed the clashes against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, has recovered from his stomach bug and might feature in the clash against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sharjah on Thursday.

Chris Gayle has not featured in the first seven games of IPL 2020 for Kings XI Punjab and it has shown in their results as they are at the bottom of the table with just one win. With IPL 2020 now at the second half, the situation is dire for Kings XI Punjab and every match of theirs is a must-win from this point on. Kings XI Punjab take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sharjah on October 15 and they are all set to get a big boost against Virat Kohli’s side regarding Chris Gayle.

According to the official website of Kings XI Punjab, Chris Gayle has recovered from the stomach infection that had kept him out of the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Gayle is training with the squad and he looks to be fit enough to get included in the clash against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are currently third in the points table.

‘Was going to be a part’

Gayle was again missing during King XI Punjab’s game against Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. But soon after the game, he posted a video from a hospital room. Taking to Instagram, Gayle posted a video from a hospital room and wrote: "The struggle is real...Jah Jah."

There have been a lot of questions around Gayle’s position in the KXIP outfit on social media and if he would get a game. Kumble revealed in an interaction with the host broadcasters during the SRH innings on Thursday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium that Gayle was actually part of the plan for the game. "Gayle was going to play today, but he is down with food poisoning," Kumble had revealed.

Kings XI Punjab’s only success in IPL 2020 came against Royal Challengers Bangalore when KL Rahul scored a brilliant century and Kings XI Punjab won by a massive margin with Virat Kohli dropping two catches of the Kings XI Punjab skipper.
