Sunrisers Hyderabad are in third spot in the points table and they will be determined to continue the winning momentum in the race for the IPL 2020 playoffs while Kings XI Punjab continue to struggle.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have jumped into the third spot following their big 69-run win against Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2020 clash in Dubai and this has put David Warner’s side firmly in the race for the playoffs. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals continue to remain in first and second position respectively in the points table.

The race for the top four spots in IPL 2020 has gotten crowded following Sunrisers Hyderabad’s big win against Kings XI Punjab in the clash in Dubai. The 69-run has boosted Sunrisers Hyderabad’s net run-rate and has kept them firmly in the mix for the play-off race with almost half of the tournament done. David Warner’s fifty and a brilliant 97 from Jonny Bairstow helped Sunrisers Hyderabad reach 201/6. Despite a spirited performance from Nicholas Pooran, Sunrisers Hyderabad were boosted by a brilliant spell of 3/12 from Rashid Khan as they secured a thumping win.

The result has pushed Sunrisers Hyderabad to third in the table with six points from six games while Kolkata Knight Riders have come down to fourth spot. Royal Challengers Bangalore have slipped to fifth spot while Chennai Super Kings have gone down by one rung to the sixth spot. Rajasthan Royals are in seventh spot while Kings XI Punjab’s woes have mounted after the 69-run loss created a huge dent in their net run-rate.

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are one and two in the table and the upcoming double headers on Saturday and Sunday could create plenty of movement in the points table for all eight teams.
