Suresh Raina shared a heartfelt post to congratulate MS Dhoni on becoming the most capped player in IPL history. Dhoni bagged the landmark feat during Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) much-awaited clash against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday (October 2).
The CSK skipper overtook Suresh Raina, who opted out of IPL 2020 due to 'personal reasons', to bag this feat.
Friday's clash between CSK and SRH is Dhoni's 194th match in the IPL, which takes him past Raina's 193 cap record.
Raina took to Twitter to congratulate Dhoni while saying he is happy that it's Mahi who broke his longstanding record.
"Congratulations Mahi bhai ( @msdhoni ) at becoming the most capped IPL player. Happiest that my record is being broken by you. All the best for the game today and am sure @ChennaiIPL will win this season’s @IPL," Raina wrote on Twitter.
