In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 20th clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), the Steve Smith-led side have got in Kartik Tyagi who makes his IPL debut.
The teen prodigy was roped in by the Royals for Rs 1.3 crore in the player auction in December last year.
Tyagi was part of the U19 World Cup and was the second-highest wicket-taker for India. He scalped 11 wickets in six matches as he helped the side reach the final where they lost to Bangladesh U-19.
The youngster belongs from Uttar Pradesh which has been the breeding ground for India pacers namely RP Singh, Praveen Kumar and more recently Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The 19-year-old Hapur native, along with his India U-19 teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal, will be up against Mumbai at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
