Skipper Virat Kohli is playing his 200th match for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday (October 15).

Kohli's landmark feat comes during RCB's high-tension clash against KL Rahul's Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

The RCB skipper has played 184 matches in the IPL so far and has feated in 15 Champions League T20 (CLT20) games during his time with the Bangalore outfit.

Over the 13 seasons in the tournament, the 31-year-old has become the leading run-getter in the Indian Premier League with 5668 runs.

Virat has also smashed five centuries and 38 half-centuries for RCB during his time with them in the IPL so far.

Speaking about the match, Kohli won the toss and welcomed KL Rahul's KXIP to bowl first at Sharjah.

Ahead of the clash, Virat is just six boundaries away from hitting 500 fours in the tournament and is also just 3 maximums away from meeting 200 sixes in the league.
