Mumbai Indians are set to take on Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi in the IPL 2020 opener but this match will have something HUGE missing!

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin after months of delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament will begin on September 19 and it will feature the Mumbai Indians, the four-time champions of the IPL taking on the Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. Rohit Sharma has gotten the better of MS Dhoni on a consistent basis and he will be expected to start his campaign on the ultimate high. However, in a first, the star-studded tournament will begin without one of its most consistent players in Suresh Raina.

Just days before the IPL 2020 kick-off, Raina opted out of the campaign due to "personal reasons".

On September 1, Raina had revealed the reason why he left IPL 2020 for India. The Indian cricketer claimed that it was due to an attack by robbers in Punjab's Pathankot district.

This is also going to be the first time that the IPL season will kick start with its record run-scorer.
