In the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are currently on the fourth spot after winning two and losing two.
The side has overseas powerhouse now with the inclusion of Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan and Indian bowler S Sreesanth feels that the England limited-overs captain should lead KKR instead of Dinesh Karthik (DK).
His comments came as KKR suffered an 18-run loss against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
In the match, the Delhi franchise scored 228 for four and then went on to restrict their opponents to 210 for eight.
"Genuinely feel @Eoin16 should lead the side,(surly not*dk kolaimandaaaiii) World Cup-winning captain should surly lead ipl side. I hope #kkr looks at this issue.nd win. they need a leader who will lead from front like Rohit, Dhoni or Virat..what a player," Sreesanth tweeted.
In the clash, Morgan came into bat at number six when KKR still needed 112 runs to win from 43 balls. Morgan and Tripathi forged a 78-run stand to revive KKR's hopes.
Morgan was, however, dismissed for 44 by Anrich Nortje, and in the last over, Marcus Stoinis clean-bowled Tripathi (36) to hand Delhi an 18-run win.
As for DK, he had come out to bat at number five but was able to score just six runs. In the tournament so far, Karthik has played four matches, scoring a total of 37 runs.
