Not a night Virat Kohli will want to remember. In the clash against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper will be doing a lot of thinking as to all the things that went wrong.
After winning the toss and opting to field first, the RCB bowlers could not do much as KXIP skipper went on a rampage as he scored 132 runs. On his way to the mammoth score, he was dropped twice that too by the RCB captain Kohli.
Kohli dropped him once he was in his 80's and once in the '90s. The drops proved to be too much for RCB as KXIP - who were looking for something in the range of 180 at the 16th over - scored 206.
While this was not enough, in the second innings, the Bangalore franchise saw the batsmen falling like a pack of cards.
After the young gun, Devdutt Padikkal departed for one, instead of Kohli Josh Philippe comes in at No. 3. He too got out for a duck and in came Kohli. However, on the chase of such a high score, Kohli could not manage as he departed after scoring just a run.
This is both the team's second clash. While RCB had won their first against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), KXIP came into the match after a hearting defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Super Over.
