Under this campaign, the police officers are going to schools every week and give information about child rights and law to the students, along with advising them to stay away from criminal activities. In addition, they communicate with the students and try to provide them solutions by listening to their problems.

On the instructions of the SP, officers from all the 13 police stations of the district are visiting schools in their respective areas, motivating the students to pay attention to studies and informing them about traffic and child laws. Not only this, the schoolchildren are also made to visit police stations to make them aware of the functioning of the police.

Under the campaign, Kotwali Police Station CI Chandmal Singaria went to talk to the children of a government school in Bori village recently. There a student of class VII, Jaya Gameti, said that she could not study at night because of absence of electricity connection in her house and her family has no money to afford a connection.

After hearing her problem, CI Chandmal reached the police station and discussed the matter with the officials of the Electricity Department. He then got a connection for the student’s house with his own expense. Not only this, CI also talked about the payment of electricity bill along with bearing her educational expenses and helping with the marriage expenses of the girl.

Through Child Friendly Police campaign, Dungarpur Police is playing an important role in keeping the new generation away from crimes and help make them good citizens. With the campaign, the police officers such as Chandmal are helping towards the progress of the poor children which is an inspiration for all.
