It’s Pachpadra (Barmer) calling for the political parties as in the coming days the place will see fiery speeches of politicians in the run up to the assembly election. Three important rallies have been scheduled here, the place once famous for salts, but is now known for the upcoming petroleum refinery.
Chief minister Vasundhara Raje will be arriving in Pachpadra as a part of Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra. On September 2, Raje will address public meetings at three places which includes one in Pachpadra. The day will mark the end of the Jodhpur region tour of Raje’s yatra.
The venue will also play host to Congress party’s Sankalp Rally on September 5. Pumped up after the successful show of the yatra in Chittorgarh and Churu, the Opposition party has now decided to hold third Sankalp Yatra in Barmer. To ensure everything goes as per plan, former Barmer MP from Congress Harish Choudhary is working monitoring and managing the arrangements for the rally in Pachpadra.
“This will be a historic rally, something that no other party has achieved so far. We are prepared for it,” Choudhary said while speaking to DNA. However, the centre of political attraction will be the third rally which is being organised by Manvendra Singh who is currently the BJP MLA from Sheo in Barmer. He will hold ‘Swabhiman Rally’ in Pachpadra on September 22 and is ganining popularity among the locals of Barmer with his slogan ‘mushkil ek raah mein, muskan naheen chodunga, unchayee kee chah mein swabhiman nahin chorunga’. Moreover, Singh has even tweeted about the schedule of his rally to send across the message and invite people for the same.
With another contender in the race, all the eyes of political leaders across BJP and Congress are on this Swabhiman Rally which is being seen as a possible game changer in Marwar politics.
