Announcing to pitch candidates at all 200 seats of state in upcoming assembly elections, BJP MLA from Sanganer constituency Ghanshyam Tiwari left a window open for reconciliation by postponing the declaration of the name of the ‘new party’. Tiwari has yet not resigned from BJP and the party leadership at state too is horns of a dilemma on the issue. The party-state leadership has shrugged off a decision on it for the central leadership.
“Its democratic right of an individual to decide on contesting the election,” BJP state president Ashok Parnami said in response to media queries on Tiwari issue on Wednesday.
“In process of my duty as a party state president, I have to inform the central leadership on all such issues and not just in case of Tiwari, So has been done in case of his recent comments,” said Parnami. “Tiwari has responded to the committee and it’s now it’s on them to take an action,” Parnami said.
A senior leader, Tiwari has been associated with BJP since its inception in Rajasthan. Even as he has been sidelined at party politics, the state leaders do not intend to gain him on sympathy points and thus is not in the mood to decide on him in haste.
However, as Tiwari has declared to announce the name of his party by ‘Makar Sankranti’ falling in January a decision will have to be reached before the date.
