Newly formed Bharat Vahini Party (BVP) is looking to cash in on the simmering issue of reservation for the Economically Backward Class (EBC) during the upcoming assembly election. Raising the tempo, BVP state president Ghanshyam Tiwari targeted BJP over the issue on Monday. “BJP national president Amit Shah should tell why his government has not yet given reservation to EBC?” he said. “If the BVP comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections, 14 per cent reservation will be given to EBC and reservation proposal will be included in the 9th schedule of the constitution,” said Tiwari while addressing media in Pink City Press Club.
He further added that despite there being the BJP government both at the Centre and the state, still the reservation was not included in the 9th schedule of the constitution. Claiming it to be a fight for justice of the deprived classes, Tiwari said BJP betrayed people of the deprived communities.
