Govind Dev ji Temple to develop under the Krishna Circuit

The main Krishna temples in the country which is visited by lakhs of tourists every year

Capital’s most spiritual, Govind Dev ji Temple will be developed as a tourist and spiritual place under the Jaipur Smart City Mission. Sri Krishna Smart Circuit will develop the  temple, connecting it to Tadkeshwar temple. Jaipur Smart City Limited (JSCL) has prepared the Detail Project Report (DPR) for the same, while the tender  for the project will be invited by December.

Notably, Govind Dev ji is one of the main Krishna temples in the country which is visited by lakhs of tourists every year. Based on the importance of the temple, JSCL has included it in the Area Best Development(ABD) plan of Shri Krishna Smart Circle under the smart city mission. Like the Govind Dev ji temple, Gopinath temple located in the Purani Basti is of great spiritual importance as well. It is also called the the Chhota Govind Dev ji.

Hence the Gopinath temple will also be added in the Shri Krishna Smart Circle. Krishna Circuit project is a part of GOI’s ‘Swadesh Darshan’ scheme of re-discovering one’s own country. The circuit will connect important Krishna temples especially 

Govind Devji and Gopinathji in the Walled City and key heritage places like, Jantar-Mantar, City Palace and Hawa Mahal.

The circuit will include Jai Niwas Bagh, Talkatora, Paundrik Park, Jaleb Chowk, Chaugan Stadium precinct, streets and other areas for interventions. Phase-1 of Shri Krishna Smart Circuit covers the journey from Tadkeshwar Temple to Govind Devji Temple. The path runs adjacent to several important structures and gates including City Palace, Jantar-Mantar, Brij Nidhi Temple, Anand Krishan Bihari Ji Temple and passes through Aatish Market, Chandni Chowk and Jaleb Chowk.
