The division of votes and the discussion on the no-confidence motion given against the zila pramukh will be done on January 23.
Sources informed that a week’s notice has been given by the CEO of zila parishad and no-confidence motion will be brought on January 23 after which the voting will be done as per the procedure of Zila Parishad.
Currently, the total strength of Zila Parishad is of 51 members and out of these BJP has 26 members. Actually BJP had 27 members but Zila Pramukh Mool Chand Meena has switched over to Congress in October 2018. Congress now has 22 members while there are two independent members.
For getting the no-confidence motion passed there is a need of 39 members.
Therefore, now it’s very obvious that both the sides will be trying to get support of as many as members to get this no confidence motion passed.In coming days, there will be a tug of war seen between the two sides.
The political turmoil has been brewing since last few months.few days back the meeting of zila parishad which was to happen on January 11 was postponed.
This was second time in a few days time when the meeting was postponed. Earlier the meeting was called on January 7 but that time too the meeting was postponed.
