The National Law University of Jodhpur is reaching new heights every year. In a recent ranking of higher educational institutions released by the Human Resource Development Ministry, National Law University of Jodhpur has secured 5th rank in the list of top 71 law institutes. NLU Jodhpur got 63.50 points. NLSIU-Bengaluru was selected as best law institute of the country. This time law university was also included for the first time in a separate category.
At the same time, IIT Jodhpur lagged behind for the second consecutive year. This time also IIT Jodhpur is missing from the list of top 100 institutions in the country. IIT Jodhpur slipped from the previous year ranking from number 25 to 65. Last time also, IIT Jodhpur was at the bottom of the list amongst the other IIT’s.
The ranking of top educational institutions of the country was released on Tuesday by the National Institutional Ranking Framework. IIT Madras is at the top tank with 88.95 scores from last three years. Two other institutes including IIT including Jodhpur could not even cross the score of 50. Only BITS Pilani and Banasthali Vidhyapeeth of Rajasthan are in the list of the top 100 universities. MNIT and BITS Pilani from Rajasthan are in the top 100 Engineering universities. In engineering rank, MNIT and BITS Pilani are ahead of IIT Jodhpur.
Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar, while announcing the rankings at an event in the Vigyan Bhavan, said the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has been adjudged the best engineering college.
