He ripped into Cong over issue of country’s security & hailed Modi for giving Army freedom to act

BJP national president Amit Shah ripped into the Congress over the issue of country ’s security. Shah said that under Sonia and Manmohan’s government in the country, jawans were hamstrung and to counter the heavy cross border firing they had to wait for instructions to come from Delhi before taking any action. “But such is not the case under PM Narendra Modi’s government as army jawans have been given the freedom to act. No one needs to ask anything. Our jawans know that the answer to a goli (bullet) lies in retaliating with a gola (bomb),” the party president added.

Shah was speaking during his visit to Bikaner division where he addressed the Gaurav Senani Sammelan in Sikar on Thursday. “During the tenure of BJP governments, the soldiers of our country have got the due recognition and respect. It is shameful that Congress never came forward to honour the ones who selflessly fight at the border to protect the country,” said Shah in his address and cited examples of Pokhran nuclear explosion and surgical strike as the strategic masterstroke to blunt Pakistan’s ambitions.

“When terrorists attacked our soldiers in Uri of Jammu and Kashmir, prime minister Narendra Modi immediately ordered the army to go and take on their attack and reply with a stern action in form of surgical strike. Our troops hit key positions occupied by Pakistani terrorists,” said BJP chief Amit Shah.

Shah said that Rajasthan has given the country maximum number of jawans. “Army jawans put up with every extreme conditions and still stand undeterred to ensure we can sleep in peace back home. Their sacrifice is supreme. It is the BJP government which fulfilled the demands of the army jawans,” Shah added. Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that he wears Italian glasses and that has blurred his vision. Underscoring the achievements of the central government, he pointed out that the government has increased the number of hospitals from 1,200 to 2,600 to meet the healthcare demands of the soldiers and ex-servicemen.

“BJP state governments have also started pension for ex-servicemen. Modi did the work of giving one rank one pension to the soldiers and has worked towards modernising the army. By 2022, the Indian Army will be called the modern army,” he said.

Amit Shah’s divisional tours in state end

BJP national president Amit Shah’s divisional tour ended on Thursday in Bikaner. Shah started these tours on September 11 from the Jaipur division and has now covered all the seven divisions across the state. During this time, Shah addressed the power conferences. He addressed the Shakti Kendra conferences of party workers in Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu district unit in Sikar on Thursday.

‘It is Congress that insulted Ambedkar’

Shah accused the Congress of insulting Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar while addressing a conference of Scheduled Caste (SC) in Bikaner. Shah said that Congress did not allow Baba Saheb to reach Parliament and did not hang his oil painting in Parliament and also did not reward him with  Bharat Ratna. “It was the BJP government that gave Baba Saheb his due respect and placed his oil picture in Parliament and honoured him with Bharat Ratna,” he said.
