The fate of divyang is going to change in Rajasthan soon. Now, their weakness will become a power and they will work as special teachers. The Modi-led BJP government in the Centre and the Vasundhara Raje-led state government will open a Rehabilitation Council of India Centre in Rajasthan.

In this institute, the candidates will be able to undertake two-year diploma to train as special teachers. The Union government has given approval to the state government in this regard, by writing a letter. After this decision, the future of the divyang will become bright as this will be the first such centre in the state which will operate at such a large level.

The Rehabilitation Council of India Centre will start from next month at the Rehabilitation Centre of Jamdoli. The usefulness of this centre also magnifies because the University for Special People is also going to open in the same area soon. The candidates who pursue a diploma from this centre can also get job opportunities in this specialised university.

The department for special people has been working to get an approval from the Union government from the past eight months. Now, after getting the approval, the department has started preparations to open the centre. During the diploma course, training will be given for hearing and speech impaired, mental divyang and visually impaired students.

Director of the department Dhannaram Purohit said, “This center is needed to shape the future of special people in Rajasthan. The divyangas were facing great difficulty and this is a big decision of the Union Government to provide relief to them. The opening of this centre will enhance the employment opportunities for divyang in future.”

At present, there is an acute shortage of special teachers in Rajasthan. But, after the opening of this centre, the shortage of special teachers is expected to end. Besides, the divyang will also get an opportunity to move forward and do well in their lives.
