A woman died on Monday in the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital after she was allegedly given a wrong injection by a doctor on Sunday night.
Although the matter has been referred to the police for further investigation, it is believed that the patient, 61-year-old Mira Sansi, a resident of Pabupura Ratanad, was allergic to a particular drug and may have died due to this.
However, as the condition of the patient started worsening, her relatives raised a fracas and even accused the doctor of giving her wrong injection. The situation reached such a pass that the police had to be called to calm down things and restore the order.
ACP Kamal Singh Tanwar, Sardarpura police station SHO Bhupendra Singh Charan and other officials reached there. Even RAC was called from the police control room as the relatives of the patient were going out of control.
Although the patient died on Monday morning, her relatives had filed a police report against the doctor on Sunday night.
On Monday, post-mortem was done by the medical board in the afternoon. According to the police, the report given against the doctor will be investigated on the basis of the post-mortem report.
